  1. Why should I move to the Valley, I want a big city!

    The Valley is a Big City with a 1.4+ population! Our Rodeo family has 17 offices and 40+ GPs in the area.McAllen is the unofficial “capital” of the RGV. South Padre Island & Port Isabel are  beach resort getaways just an hour away.  RGV has 3 airports for easy travel to the rest of Texas and USA. With low cost of living, BUSY offices, & great networks, the opportunity to craft a happy healthy lifestyle of surplus is definitely in the cards. RGV is also a hub of economic growth with many healthcare, legal, & technology  professionals relocating to the general area (hospitals, Tesla, Space X, etc. Keep an open mind! With a diversity of so many different environments to live (beach, city, suburb, country, close to work, far from work) there’s a pace of life for everyone. Take us up on a complimentary visit.   2. How are your offices structured? How many Docs?

    Most have 2-3 GPs, newer offices can have 1-2.
    We have all Specialists on hand that travel throughout the month!
    Front desk staff & billing are plentiful & well trained.
    Each doctor will have a minimum of 3 assistants.
     

  3. What does my career growth look like?

    Let us know what your passion is and how we can help support you. If you just want to focus on dentistry you can, but if you’d like to grow into a lead, or even a regional lead & owner, we will definitely support that! We are a growing organization, and as we grow, we want you to grow with us. If you see us opening offices in an area you are interested, let us know. If you get in and find that it’s the right culture for you, our owner partnership track may be a perfect fit. 

  4. Why do I need to be credentialed before I start? My other job offers let me start right away.

    We want to ensure you have enough patients to see and are not sitting around doing nothing! I can’t speak to what other companies may or may not do, but I can say that we have a great onboarding and credentialing team to help the process go as smoothly and quick as possible. (Ok to direct candidate to the recruiter for help or more information)

  7. How much time off is there?

    We actually offer unlimited time off! We all cover for each other.
    All we ask is that you:
    1) don’t take advantage
    2) give us a 30-45 day notice.Obviously, last minute one-offs will come up and we will always work with you on what that process looks like, but we have dentists from all over the country/world and encourage travel.Sure we want to serve our patients but on top of that we want you to enjoy your life!
  8. How often do you conduct the mini-residencies?

    There are about 7-10 Dif courses we offer throughout the year, each year. There are a limited number of spots available depending on the specific course, but don’t worry, if you’re not able to catch a course the first time around, it’ll be back! Here’s a few examples! We have:
    • pediatric restorative
    • patient management
    • Sedation
    • Oral Surgery techniques & case management
    • Live patient endodontics
    • Implants
    • More!

    Cool thing about the Mini-Residencies is while we are learning or sharping a skill set, we are also helping the under served patient population that truly needs to see the dentist and might not get the opportunity to do so.

    At our OS res, they partnered with Dentists who Care and did a total of 250 extractions in one weekend! Really helping each other out!

  9. How far along in the process will I learn what location(s) I will be working at?

    This is something your recruiter can help you with. A lot more goes into this than you’d think! We want to get to:
    • know you
    • figure out what it is you’re looking for and the area’s you’re most –  interested in/comfortable with
    •  matching that with the right office with or as a lead doctor
    • place you in the right office environment to you to succeed & have a happy, healthy, & full schedule.

    Our goal is to schedule each one of our docs with 50 patients per day with an avg of 50% of that showing up. That’s the great thing about Rodeo, we let the patient flow dictate how many providers are in an office to help assure we are all busy!

  10. What are some of the reasons your current docs chose Rodeo over other opportunities they were considering?
    • Doctor Mentality: So many other DSOs telling doctors to see more, treat more, convert more. Here we focus on doing what’s right for our patients and making sure we are always driving a positive patient experience.     • True clinical Autonomy: If you love endo, we wont tell you you have to refer them out, but if you don’t like endo, we always have an endodontist scheduled for you. All we ask is that if you do take on something more complicated, that you schedule with your team accordingly and that it’s done at a high standard of care.
    • Collaborative Peer Environment: Culture at Rodeo is key. We help each other out when we need it, always. We work hard to provide positive environments for mutual respect, learning & collaboration. If you want to learn something, all you have to do is talk to someone or seek out how you can learn something specific.Example: If OS is your passion, come in early, and shadow the OS! Try cases side-by-side like you would at a GPR or AEGD. Text the specialist any time with any questions! We are all peers & want to always be there to support each other.
    • Growth opportunities: We are a growing company with a lot of exciting things ahead.   11. Do I have any control over hiring my staff?

    Absolutely! As DAs & new staff are hired in your office, you as a doctor definitely have a say! Before assistants are hired, doctors will work with applicants hands-on and will be asked to provide feedback. Ultimately, these are members of your team & you know best the nuances of your office environment.Beyond that, if you know anyone that would be a great peer team member, we are always open to speaking with them.
